In pictures: Revitalisation of the Jiřího z Poděbrad metro station

On Thursday, 2 November 2023, the DPP put the revitalised metro station Jiřího z Poděbrad into trial operation. In a record short period of less than ten months, it was possible to replace the escalators, reconstruct the escalator tunnel and vestibule, and carry out a complete revitalisation of the platform in the second deepest station of the Prague metro.
In addition to new escalators, lighting, suspended ceilings, stone tiles on the platform, the station also received a new navigation system as well as LTE and 5G signal.
In the coming months, the construction of elevators will continue in the station, we expect their commissioning at the turn of spring and summer 2024.
