Travel through Prague with air-conditioning!

We strive to make traveling by public transport comfortable for our passengers. That is why we purchase all new vehicles with air conditioning only.

In accordance with the approved PID quality standards, the air conditioner should be switched on at outdoor temperatures of 22 °C and above. The standards apply to newly competed vehicles; depending on technical and operational possibilities, the Prague Public Transit Company also applies them to existing or previously competed vehicles. Of course, the driver can turn on the air conditioning even when the outside temperature is lower, taking into account the interior temperature.

The effect of air conditioning is reduced by opening the windows. That is why there is a corresponding warning in vehicles equipped with air conditioning.

  • Almost 60% of all our buses are already equipped with air conditioning.
  • Trolleybuses in the Prague Public Transit Company’s fleet are new, so they are all air-conditioned.
  • Air-conditioned trams are recognisable from a distance, they are the only ones with a yellow front mask. We have 127 of them in total.
